2nd Annual Michael's Message Golf Tournament
Dear Friends:
As a result of your generosity last September, we have visited schools in Florida, Pennsylvania and New York and have spread the message to an additional 60,000 (estimated) students and parents. Please join us for the 2nd Annual Michael's Message Golf Tournament to benefit Michael's Message A Drug Awareness Program on October 3, 2009. This high-profile fun and fundraising event will help support Michael's Message, Inc. “A Drug Awareness Program”, a local non-profit organization. Since March of 2000 we have shared Michael’s Message with just over 560,000 students. The organization is dedicated to educating our youth and the public through prevention and awareness. Education is considered by many to be the key to prevention. Knowledge is power! Michael’s Message is designed to challenge, inspire and motivate our youth to make healthy choices and give them the courage to stand strong be proud and know the consequences of their actions. We will have a great day of golf at the beautiful Indian Hills Golf Course in Fort Pierce, FL (). The event will include a 4-person scramble,lunch and awards receptions following the golf. The event will help support Michael's Message, Inc. “A Drug Awareness Program”, a local non-profit organization founded shortly after our son Michael died of a drug overdose in 1998. The organization is dedicated to educating our youth and the public about Designer Drugs – the Date Rape Drug GHB (Gamma Hydroxybutyrate) as well as prescription drugs and other illicit substances through prevention and awareness to prevent what happened to him from happening to others. Education is considered by many to be the key to prevention. Knowledge is power! Many young people have been touched by Michael’s story, most of who have vowed to exclude drug use from their lives.
